Kontrail manufactures certified water tight and weather tight doors and hatches for the marine industry.

It specialises in quality products at competitive prices and holds certificates and approvals with Germanscher Lloyd, Bureau Veritas and DNV.

Kontrail was purchased in 1997 by the current owners. Since then, it has furthered product and design development.

The company has increased it’s market share and built new premises in Henderson, the hub of ship building in Western Australia. Kontrail now has the capacity to competently deal with large orders as well as the more specialised individual items it is well known for.

The company currently supplies doors and hatches to many companies within Australia and overseas including groups such as – Austal Ship, Oceanfast, Tenix Shipbuilders, Image Marine, NQEA, Fine Entry Marine, Richardson Devine, Warren Yachts, North West Bay Ships FBM Aboitiz, and Thornycroft Maritime.

WEATHER TIGHT

3mm Aluminium outer door skin.
2mm Aluminium inside skin.
Polished Stainless Steel handle inside and out.
Clear opening size from 1200-2000mm high and from 600-1000mm wide.
Window optional.
Seal on doors is of closed cell foam rubber with 98% memory.
All stainless steel pins and components inside door.
Stainless Steel butt hinges 316.
Fully adjustable. Door to frame. ( Frame in frame )
Central locking. 4,6 and 8 pin configuration.

WATER TIGHT

Standard width 650mm.
Height 100mm increments 1200-1800.
Bolt in or weld in Aluminium frame.
Pressure tested to 4 metres or 0.4 bar.
5mm outer door skin.
2mm inside door skin.
Polished T-Bar Stainless Steel handle standard inside and outside, or optional Wheel handle as shown
All stainless steel pins and components inside the door.A0 Fire Rating.
Bolt in or weld in steel frame.
All stainless steel components inside the door.
Seal on door has a H120 rating.
Standard clear opening width 650mm.
Height in 100mm increments 1200-1800mm.
Zinc primed or Powder Coated Colour options.
