Sizing, Clear-Opening Size Customised to client requirements

  • Coaming Height: Generally between 100-600mm.
  • Width & Depth: Generally between 600-1200mm Square OR 600-800 x 900-1600 Rectangular – IDEALLY: Hinging via the long edge where possible.
Construction Aluminium:

  • Coaming – 4mm Plate with internal bracing from 5mm thickness box section as suitable.
  • Hatch – 5mm Plate with extruded hatch box/bracing.
  • Internal Skin – 2mm Skin.

Steel [HA250 STD] or 316 SS:

  • Outer Frame – 4mm Plate radiused, with internal bracing from 4mm strip.
  • Hatch – Steel 4mm Plate / SS: 3 or 4mm Plate dependant on size/application, with 3mm hatch box/bracing in all cases.
  • Internal Skin – 0.9mm Skin, Steel Zinc Primed, SS 316.
Pressure Testing
  • Construction method as standard is generally suitable for Pressure testing for up to 3 metres or 0.3 bar.
  • For greater pressure heads or “over-size” items, options are available: please make specific enquiry.
General
  • Central locking via polished T-Bar Stainless Steel handle standard inside & outside, operating multiple closing pins – generally Min 4 to Max 10, as required by sizing/pressure: All pins and components inside the door are Stainless Steel construction.
  • Raised Deck Hatches are supplied with 1 x SS Gas stay to hold open, to generally apprx 95deg opening angle.
  • Weld-In or Bolt-In fitment formats available.
  • Various finishes available: Raw / Passivated / Primed / Powder Coated / Wet Sprayed.

*Materials can be mixed/matched, ie: Aluminium coaming with SS Hatch / Steel Frame with Aluminium Hatch.

  • Aluminium or Zinc steel Internal skins can be switched for SS Skins in all cases.
  • Aluminium Hatches: Extruded EPDM Seal.
  • Steel & SS Hatches: Extruded Silicone Seal.
Options
  • Additional SS gas strut [2 total].
  • Safety kit to [1 only] gas strut: has to be manually operated to allow strut to compress/hatch to close.
  • Deadlock utilising Internal Locking Snib ONLY.
  • External Padlock Hasp.
  • Mounting point for [client supplied] proximity switch for monitoring open/closed status.
