Aft entry door sets to pleasure and commercial craft.
In this dedicated ‘low profile’ marine door section glazing is secured via the “Sikaflex” direct glazing system. The subsequent flush (flat) front facia allows the door to blend seamlessly with the modern window styling used on the majority of vessels today. The low profile means minimal aluminium visible from the exterior face of the door-maximising the glass area.
Format
Hinged: Can be supplied in single, double, bifold, triple and quad opening formats.
Sliding: Can be supplied in single or double sliding formats on request.
- All formats are available with or without midrails.
Construction
Can be supplied in 132mm radius, mitred or a combination of the two.
Standard APD: Doors are radiused/mitred & fully welded. Hinges are a S/S Interleaf style; All locks are marine grade.
Traditional APD: All doors are fully welded in all respects, with welded pintle hinges containing nylon bushed s/s pins. All locks are marine grade.
N.B: Key cylinders available in a variety of grades.
Glazing
6-10 mm toughened safety glass (direct glazed style) or panel.
Components
- Standard APD Body: A dedicated low profile marine door section which is designed to secure glazing via the “Sikaflex” direct glazing system, providing a flush external facia when completed
- Snap Cap: Marries “A.P.D. Body” via two snap-fit legs. Its primary purpose is to cap off the stile; it also acts as a brace for the glazing, and is adjustable to accept 6-10mm glazing.
- Hinged Outer Frame (medium): Most commonly used outer framing for this style of door, other options available on request.
